A separate poll shows that Labour members have tacked to the left and want to scrap the monarchy, borders and the UK’s nuclear deterrent. They also support a general strike to bring down the government and are more likely to blame British ministers than the IRA for terrorist attacks during the Troubles, according to the Yougov poll of 1,100 members reported in The Sunday Times.
